Atleast once a day I'm going to post a new fact, explain it, and give you a link to a more in depth explanation.
The science-types hae split the stages of a universe into several stages, they are based on energy which is in theory limited:
- Expansion - Soon after “the start”, or the Big Bang, everything expands away fast and planets begin their life. Lots of energy.
- Golden Age - We are at the start of this stage now, where energy is in full supply, this is the stage where we can use energy, certain processes destroy energy entirely such as burning which consumes energy as light and heatÂ
- No Energy - once the energy used up, which will have to happen eventually, in the extremely distant future, the only thing that will exist are black holes (because time has stopped in them, so little energy is used), and things that don’t consume energy - such as photons.
- End - Eventually the black holes will use up their energy leaving only photons (I think there is something else that doesn’t use energy but hey).
I might have missed a stage out, as this is from the top of my head.
We are more or less at the start of the golden age, this process quite literally goes on forever however the stages are inevitable, unless energy can be created I guess… I personally think it had to come from somewhere, and we have a loooong time to figure how to reproduce that too.
